Here’s How Much Money Pakistan Team to Receive Despite Early World Cup Exit

 


The Pakistan men's cricket team, despite their elimination from the ICC World Cup 2023, will still receive a substantial financial reward. They will receive around $260,000 from the allocated prize money for their achievements in winning four matches and advancing to the group stage. This translates to over Rs73 million.

Despite their elimination and fifth-place finish in the points table, the team's victories in four matches earned them $160,000. The International Cricket Council (ICC) awards $40,000 for each match won.

Additionally, simply for participating in the group stage, the Pakistan team will receive $100,000. Teams eliminated in the semi-finals will be compensated with $800,000. The runner-up in the ICC World Cup will receive $2 million, and the winning team will pocket $4 million. The total prize money for the World Cup is $10 million.

The confirmed semi-finalists for the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023 are India, New Zealand, South Africa, and Australia. The knockout stage schedule is as follows:

  • Semi-final 1: India vs New Zealand
  • Semi-final 2: South Africa vs Australia
  • Final: Sunday, 19th November
